Telinga Modular - By George Vlad (Mindful Audio) with LOM MikroUśI, DPA, Sennheiser.
George Vlad using the Telinga Modular in Kenya with Lom MikroUsi (stereo) DPA 6060 (stereo) and Sennheiser MKH-8040 (mono) microphones. The interchangeable mono and stereo foam cartridges are included with the Telinga Modular for easy mounting and can be switched quickly without the need of any tools.
The Telinga Modular comes with a Rycote Telinga OEM basket and Windjammer. Weight complete (without mic) is 0,9 Kg only! For stationary use the optional Telinga Tripod allows the Modular to be mounted on Tripod Stands with proper weight distribution.
The Telinga Modular includes the foldable 22" parabolic reflector that can be rolled into 6" diameter for easy transportation. The gray rim allows for easy folding and protects the dish from scratches & dents.

Henk Meeuwsen - sound recordist for the film using the PRO-8 MK2 stereo system. The unique design let´s you record a mono signal of the focused sound of the dish with the ambience presented in stereo. You may also switch to mono sound (only the focused sound) by using the built in handle switch at thumb position.
With the PRO-8 MK2 sytem you have a built in RF Shield and a switchable low cut/traffic filter to prevent your recordings from being distorted by handling or traffic noise.

Max Lachmann "zooming in" Snowboard sounds with a Telinga Universal MK2 parabolic dish (with a Schoeps microphone mounted) in one hand, and a shotgun microphone in the other hand.
With a Telinga parabolic dish you can easily and very quickly follow and "zoom" in any sound "in-air" even at longer distances. This can be very effective in sports broadcasting or for sound design.

Telinga Modular with Wildlife Acoustics SM-4 Song Meter and Wildlife Acoustics SMM-A2 microphone mounted in the dish for the directional channel. A second SMM-A2 microphone is mounted below dish for the ambience channel.
The same setup from behind, with the control functions of the Wildlife Acoustics Song Meter SM-4 device coming very handy behind the dish.
The Rycote Telinga HWC windcover is available in GREEN or BLACK. It offers up to 35 dB in wind reduction and protects the setup from sun. It also prevents insects from buzzing around in the dish.
Telinga Universal and PRO-8 MK2 System (Sochi Olympics, Russia)
With a Telinga System it´s possible to "zoom in" Sound FX also in stereo at longer distances, without the need of multiple cable and microphone arrangements. This has several advantages, for example in a broadcasting setting: instead of using numerous conventional microphones to cover a large area you can "follow" a skiier for instance from far away and with the acoustical amplification of the dish zoom in the sounds you want. The Telinga dish is foldable and very easy to transport. Complete weight around 1 kilo.
When a mono signal only is prefered, and maximum attenuation of surrounding sounds is necessary you may use a cardioid microphone of choice such as Schoeps or Sennheiser in the Telinga Universal MK2, with the microphone capsule facing the dish. Assembling is extremely easy and you may change microphone in seconds without using any tools or such.
The V2 Dish 22" may easily be folded and stored in our Soft Case together with your complete Telinga setup.
With the Telinga Tripod Mount the system is easily placed on a Tripod stand.
The Hi-Wind Cover protects the microphone from turbulence inside the large dish.

By using a customized Rycote basket (included with the dish) + a separate windjammer and optional dish windcover you can use a cardioid microphone in the SCHOEPS dish kit for maximum attenuation of surrounding sounds without having problems in windy conditions.
